Property Deeds

What are property deeds?

Property deeds are documents connected with ownership, transfer, lease, mortgage or other rights affecting land. For registered land, some supporting documents may be held as filed documents by Land Registry.

When do you need property deeds?

You may need deeds or filed documents when checking older rights, lease details, transfer wording, covenants, restrictions, or documents referred to in a Title Register.

What is included?

Available documents may include transfers, leases, charges, deeds of covenant or other filed documents connected with the registered title. Availability depends on the Land Registry record.

What is not included?

Not every deed is available online and not every historic document is held by Land Registry. Some records may require further checks or may not be available for the property.

How ordering works

Search for the property, select the relevant documents, and complete secure payment. If a requested document is available, it will be supplied digitally by email after processing.

Independent service note

This is an independent ordering service and not an official government website.

How to order

  1. Start a property search using the postcode or address.
  2. Select the matching property from the address results.
  3. Choose Property Deeds and any other documents you need.
  4. Enter your contact details and complete secure payment.

What you receive

Where available, the completed document is supplied digitally by email. You will receive an order reference after checkout so support can locate the order if you need help.

Before you order

Check the property address carefully before payment. Some documents are not available for every property, and title records do not replace legal, conveyancing or surveying advice.

Frequently asked questions

Are property deeds always available?

No. Availability depends on the property record and whether the relevant filed documents are held and obtainable.

Are deeds the same as a Title Register?

No. The Title Register is the main written title record. Deeds or filed documents are supporting records that may provide extra detail where available.
