Title Plan

What is a Title Plan?

A Title Plan is a plan associated with a registered property title. It shows the general extent of the land included in the registered title, usually edged or marked on an Ordnance Survey based plan.

When do you need a Title Plan?

You may need a Title Plan when checking the general outline of a registered property, reviewing a boundary query, comparing neighbouring titles, or supporting conveyancing checks.

What is included?

A Title Plan usually includes the title number, map detail, and a general indication of the land included in the registered title. It is normally read together with the Title Register.

What is not included?

A Title Plan does not normally define the exact legal boundary. It should not be treated as a measured survey, and it does not replace specialist legal or surveying advice.

How ordering works

Search for the property, choose the Title Plan, and complete payment online. The document is supplied digitally by email after processing.

Independent service note

This website is an independent document-ordering service and is not affiliated with HM Land Registry or GOV.UK.

How to order

  1. Start a property search using the postcode or address.
  2. Select the matching property from the address results.
  3. Choose Title Plan and any other documents you need.
  4. Enter your contact details and complete secure payment.

What you receive

Where available, the completed document is supplied digitally by email. You will receive an order reference after checkout so support can locate the order if you need help.

Before you order

Check the property address carefully before payment. Some documents are not available for every property, and title records do not replace legal, conveyancing or surveying advice.

Frequently asked questions

No. A Title Plan usually shows the general extent of the registered title and does not normally define the exact legal boundary.

Should I order the Title Register as well?

Often yes. The Title Register contains written legal title information and is usually read together with the Title Plan.
