Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Local storage holds information in your browser until it is removed by the website or you clear it. We use these technologies to support checkout, protect forms and payments, remember your choices and measure website and advertising performance.
Essential functionality and security
The analytics_consent cookie records whether you selected Accept or Deny on our cookie banner. It lasts for 180 days, unless you delete it earlier.
Checkout uses local storage named property-document-order-draft to maintain order details as you move through the ordering process. The checkout clears saved details at relevant reset and completion stages. You can also remove them by clearing this site's browser data.
Stripe provides payment processing and fraud prevention. Cloudflare provides website security and Turnstile checks on protected forms. These services can use cookies or similar technologies to distinguish legitimate requests and protect payments and forms. Their storage and retention depend on the service and security checks in use.
Where site access is password-protected, frontend_site_access remembers successful access for up to 12 hours. This is separate from analytics and advertising preferences.
Website measurement
Our own measurement system records visits, pages viewed, checkout stages and order attribution. Browser storage named property-document-anonymous-id, property-document-session-id and property-document-campaign-attribution links this activity to a browser and referral source. These local storage entries have no automatic browser expiry and remain until cleared by the site or by you.
When homepage testing is enabled and you accept measurement cookies, ab_homepage_structure remembers the version shown to you for up to 90 days. This helps us compare page performance without changing the version on every visit.
Google Analytics and advertising
When enabled and accepted through the cookie banner, Google Analytics and Google advertising tags help measure visits, campaign performance and conversions. Google Analytics cookies include _ga and _ga_ identifiers. Advertising tags can store identifiers associated with ad clicks and purchases. The cookies set and their expiry depend on the Google services and settings in use.

Embedded content
Some articles link to or embed third-party media, such as YouTube videos. Following a link or interacting with embedded media can allow the provider to process information under its own privacy policy. YouTube and Google privacy information is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Your choices
Our cookie banner offers Accept and Deny for optional analytics and advertising measurement. Denying optional measurement does not prevent you from ordering documents.
To change a saved choice, clear cookies and site data for LandRegistries.com in your browser, reload the website and select your preference again. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Clearing cookies alone does not necessarily clear local storage; use the browser's site-data controls to remove both.
