What are Title Deeds?
Title Deeds is a common term customers use when they want the key official title documents for a registered property. For registered land, the documents most often needed are the Title Register and the Title Plan.
When do you need Title Deeds?
You may need Title Deeds when checking who owns a property, preparing for a purchase or sale, reviewing leasehold or freehold details, comparing the registered land shown on a plan, or confirming information about a property you already own.
What is included?
Our Title Deeds product includes a combined order for the Title Register and Title Plan for one registered property. The Title Register records ownership and legal title information, while the Title Plan shows the general extent of the registered title.
What is not included?
Title Deeds do not usually include every historic conveyance, transfer, lease or filed document ever connected with the property. Some filed documents may require separate checks and may not be available for every title.
